ESTRANGED CITRUS

For those of you who are not in the know, my kickstarter project just ended the other night! We raised over $1,000 more than the minimum goal in order to fund my first album “Singing to Strangers”. Those who pledged qualified for prizes, there were different prizes per donation amount ($5-$500) each increasing in the level of awesomeness!

Now that the project has concluded I have been able to send surveys out to those lovely and generous people to collect the information I need to send them their well-deserved prizes!

In these surveys I allowed them the opportunity to ask me questions, about anything at all… here are some of those.

Ronnie Asked: What is the most influential thing anyone has ever said to you?
- There are many answers to this question.. BUT one of of the things someone very dear to me said a long time ago was ” We only ever do what we want.”.
It’s taken a long time for me to realize my own power and that even when I think I’m being forced to settle for something or being limited, while complaining that things aren’t better.. everything that got me to those points was a CHOICE I made..

Tiffany Asked: If you were an animal, what kind of animal would you be and why?
- I was thinking a dolphin (my favorite animal) or a fish (my zodiac sign) BUT I think if one day, every human on the planet was turned into their inner-animal I would be a dog. I love dogs. Like them, I am not the brightest but I live to love, give and receive affection, I’m dedicated and loyal.. I’m also house trained. I’ve always had a very deep connection with dogs (as you can tell by my song “Grow” which I wrote for my dog Yuengling who passed away suddenly last summer.) I grew up with at least 2-4 dogs in my family at all times and feel like I can understand them and think like them at times (which might not be a good thing haha). It would also be great to live the dog’s life.. eating, sleeping, playing, getting pet! Yum!

Brooke Asked: Do you think you’ll add guitar tabs/chords to your songs on your website? I love the song “I am the Lemon” and really want to learn how to play it.
- Yes. WHEN I will do this.. is the real question. Part of preparing for this album involves me transcribing all of my songs into something that studio musicians can understand. I don’t know how to read or write music, I don’t really know by heart the names of all the chords that I play + I use a capo a lot and that makes for a very confusing mixture when teaching others how to play my songs. HOWEVER it is a necessary process and I will be getting tabs/sheet music of these songs for recording purposes. SO…when that happens, Brooke, I’ll be sure to let you know ;)

Alek Asked: When will you start recording?!

-GOOD QUESTION! I am hoping to be in the studio by mid July!!! Wahooo :D This all depends on many factors that aren’t very exciting so I won’t burden your ears with them..

- Well.. I’ve been keeping the source of my awesomeness a trade secret for some time now.. I think it’s time for you all to know, so.. here it goes. I. Am. BATMAN!!

Joseph Asked: Are you going to be at the PROTOMEN show?!?! :D :D :D

- YES! I will be trying my absolute hardest to be there… and so should everyone reading this within a Galaxy’s distance ( The Protomen are a band out of Nashville who’s collective epicness is proven to destroy Greenville, NC along with the tri-dimensional area! Oh, did I mention..they are a Megaman rock-opera group? Yeah. Damn right. )

Techinc Productions Asked: Can we shoot your next music video?

-Oh, WOW! That would be awesome… one thing at a time now..I’m afraid if I start thinking about that now my head JUST might implode.. and it’s hard to make an album without your face faculties. I DO want to make a video after the album is close to being done.. which song and how much $ I’ll have for that.. I have no idea haha.

- Exactly two and 1/3 goose.
