Anonymous asked: Album update? I donated a lot of money!! Less about the money, I just want an album!!

Yes!! The album is happening :) thank you for your support of it! I am sorry it has taken so long. I have had to put the album and a lot of my musical activities on the back-burner for the past year, unfortunately. This is because of a lot of health and personal issues not to mention the technical aspects that I did not foresee in regards to the studio space and time. Needless to say I do feel responsible for the wait and have had all of my supporters, such as yourself, in mind during this process. I promised you an album, and that album you shall receive! I am deeply sorry it has gotten to the point you felt the need to message me about it, but believe me, it is never far from my mind. I will be taking two full weeks off from my full-time job in order to complete this promised album this fall after things settle down at work. (I recently helped open a coffee shop in Raleigh, and it has taken a lot if my time and energies ) I would say the only downfall in having so many passions is the limitations of our time and energies. I am working closely with a new studio option and this fall looks like the optimal time to get Singing to StrangerI on its way to you. I’m working on making unique, one-of-a-kind items to stock the digital shelves with, but for now I’m taking orders for customized, hand-drawn canvas flats! Most have been asking for their zodiac signs, but I can pretty much go with any idea you’ve got!! Support local arts!!

Oh, hey! I almost didn’t notice you there! It’s been a while.. too long actually. I feel sort of silly about this internet silence I’ve been making. Funny, how you can create something by doing..nothing at all… anyways!

First, I’d like to illuminate for you what has been happening in the music world as of late. If you are just now tuning in.. it goes something like this… 

1. My kickstarter was successful!! We raised the goal and then some!

2. After this glorious period of excitement, naturally, there has been a time of scrambling — putting together a studio and a team of awesome musicians, producers and engineers is serious business! 

3. Alas, as these things often times go, it has taken a lot longer for me to round up the troops and get recording running smoothly.. as it turns out managing myself as a “solo” act all these years is a totally different game than managing and schedule drums, guitar, keys, bass, stand-up bass, violin, cello and loads of other whimsical instrumentation and their equally dreamy counterparts (a.k.a. musicians) This includes myself of course!! Managing myself alone is a full-time job in itself hah!

4.  Do not fret, seriously…try to stay calm.. for me..because if you start freaking out then I’ll start freaking out and then it’s brown paper bags and security blankets the whole ride home. Nah..seriously though, it’s been a lot of work and at this point we should be layin’ down the bones of the album (drums/bass/acoustic guitar) a.s.a.p. This means video content flowin’ your way and loads of other goodies too!

5. Oh! Kickstarter prizes, I’ve been working on those too!! Along with studio stuff and getting rent paid.. I’m a very busy lady ;)

Feel free to be creative with your curiosity involving the album or just about anything.. go ahead.. SEND ME SOME SENTENCES ENDING IN QUESTION MARKS! The weirder, the better.
